Places for Year 11s to revise
If the Year 11s want to revise after school they usually have a choice, depending on what sort of revision they want to do. For independent, quiet work, the students can go to the library at 3:20 for homework club on Mondays through to Thursdays. Those that want to make a little more noise - testing each other and more lively approaches to study can come to "Noisy Revision" with Mr Taylor. This runs on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Friday in TC6 or TC3 from 3:20. No need to sign up, just turn up and get revising!

Using Moodle to Support Revision
The students are making really good use of our Virtual Learning Environment to help them to revise. Mr Varney who manages the site has sent me the user statistics for the Easter holidays and they show the following subjects as being most popular:
So please continue to encourage students to use the VLE. Remember that the materials have been carefully selected and often produced by teachers here at SMRT and so students can be sure they are suitable for whatever it is they are revising.

What students should be doing this week (w/c April 18th)
After a (hopefully) busy Easter break packed full of revision, students may feel it is sensible to increase the amount of revision they do each week, either by moving to two full sessions each evening or by adding in extra sessions at the weekend. There should be fewer demands on students' time in terms of coursework etc. so now is the time to really push on.
